Challenge your students with the use of inquiry-based learning and watch their excitement grow as they solve problems using corn. The Kansas Corn Commission, with the help from elementary teachers, created one week lessons for educators to use in the classroom that meet Kansas College and Career Ready Standards. Free teacher kits, with supplies for the lesson, are available to Kansas teachers.

About Kansas Corn STEM

As the need to produce more food with less resources grows, it is important that future generations have a better understanding of agriculture and how corn farming and agriculture fit into our daily lives. That’s why the Kansas Corn STEM program provides lessons to teach science through the lens of corn. We are committed to providing free materials and training to support educators.
