Nearpod, a free resource to download, provides a learning experience that is interactive for students. With the use of the “We Grow Corn, Raising Corn on a Kansas Family Farm” book, educators with a Nearpod account can add these to their library. These can be shared individually to students through their electronic device or on a web browser. No prep needed! These are ready to go but can also be edited to meet your students’ learning objectives. Create, engage, and assess your students with these “We Grow Corn” Nearpod activities.

As the need to produce more food with less resources grows, it is important that future generations have a better understanding of agriculture and how corn farming and agriculture fit into our daily lives. That’s why the Kansas Corn STEM program provides lessons to teach science through the lens of corn. We are committed to providing free materials and training to support educators.
